Happy Monday!

What a great weekend!  The weather was beautiful and despite a plethora of kids' birthday parties we actually managed to get a good amount of the house straightened and organized!  Always a feat when you have small hands immediately undoing the order.

Although we didn't get our house looking this good, I loved seeing this post on Emily's Saturday Six.  It would be awfully refreshing to start the week off with such beauty!

Spring has sprung!

Spring has sprung here in Savannah!  The azaleas and japanese magnolias are blooming, the temps are in the 70's, and the pollen is making everyone crazy!

We spent the weekend being a little lazy, and a little productive.  We installed a new light in our foyer and repainted in there.  The lavender that was in there was bothering me against the pale aqua in the living room and hallway.  An added benefit is that it brightened the space up some more too!

We took a bunch of things over for my friend's porch, and got her lights installed, and the daybed together.  Hopefully we can get some pictures of it later.

This weekend we are busy with birthday parties and in the down time I am hoping to get some spring cleaning and de-cluttering done.

Here's to a happy and productive weekend!

Heather Chadduck Interiors

I have been a fan of Heather Chadduck since her days at Cottage Living and was always sad when I would try to find her website and it was under construction or coming soon.  But Monday she posted to instagram that her website was here!  And it is full of beautiful spaces just like I expected!  All photos from Heather Chadduck Interiors.

This is kind of what I was going for in our dining room.

All the love for these spaces!

Monday Dreams

Why do Mondays always come so early!?!?!?!?   I sure would love to be enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee in this sunny space!

Kitchen Inspiration

I have been hoping to do a makeover on the kitchen since we moved into our home, and by makeover I don't mean a renovation, I mean some lipstick on the pig.  Some paint, some new hardware, a little lighting.  The tan color on the walls is the same color that was there when we moved in, and even the prior owner knew it was a mistake.  She was there when we did our walk through and had graciously left paint swatches out for us so we would know what paint colors they had used.  As she pointed them out to us she commented that they did the kitchen first and the color was terrible so they toned it down in the rest of the house!  The color is bad and I really want me some painted cabinets, probably some open shelves too.

Some inspiration:

I am really hoping we manage to get to the kitchen sometime this spring!

Monday, Monday

Mondays, they always come too soon.  But I believe getting ready in this bathroom would take the sting off!

Go Your Own Way

I have really, really, really been digging all of the super neutral (whether dark and moody or light and airy) spaces lately.  The hubs is not as on board with them so our house will probably never be going this route but every time I see one I swoon.  I have a feeling it's the idea that my life would be all calm and serene if my house was (which is totally not happening right now with littles).

I came across Artie's spaces through Cote de Texas via Emily's Saturday 6.  He is a serial re-decorator but all of his spaces are beautiful, and finished down to the last detail!  I am lucky if we don't have Hot Wheels track and Shopkins all over the house.  All images from Color Outside the Lines or Cote de Texas.
